If you’re planning a Wedding with a vintage vibe, here is a list of cars that will make your day picture-perfect – just in time for wedding season.

 AAA Yorkdale Limousines

Among the many limousines AAA Yorkdale has in its fleet, the one that stands out most is the Austin Princess.  This hand-built limousine was constructed in England in 1950.  AAA tells us that Queen Elizabeth liked the limousine so much she bought three of them and used them for her personal wedding day.  Now, one of them dwells here in Toronto at the AAA Yorkdale headquarters.  If this was once fit for the Queen, it is surely fit for your wedding.

JD Classic Cars

The founders of JD Classic Cars, Jason and Dennis Gil, started their company because they have a passion for vintage cars.  These brothers are always looking to add more classics to their collection, and they clearly have an eye for style – so check back in with them in the near future.   JD offers professionally chauffeured services or car rentals for any of these three classic beauties:

A Rolls Choice

One of the biggest problems couples encounter when booking a vintage vehicle for their wedding is that it is uncommon to find one that can fit the whole wedding party.  The solution: A Rolls Choice.  The two Rolls Royce limos in their fleet can fit up to 7 people, have small fold-down picnic tables (for champagne and snacks, obviously), and the Bentley in their fleet has make-up mirrors for bridesmaid touch-ups.  The ’49 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith is arguably the star of their fleet; it was once owned by the Prince of Poland and his wife, Lee Bouvier (Jackie Kennedy’s sister).   It was also 1 of 13 ever made, and it boasts suicide doors.  Your event is about to get so much cooler.

Affinity Luxury Car Rentals

If you’re looking for something with some muscle, Affinity Luxury Car Rental might have the vintage car for you.  However, something to keep in mind is that Affinity offers car rentals, but they do not offer chauffeured rides.  For the couple who prefers flare over finesse and likes to put the pedal to the metal themselves, here are three cars that might suit your wedding and your personalities:

Affinity: 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible

Honourable Mention: The TTC

Although these aren’t cars, The TTC gets an honourable mention on our list for its two fully restored 1950’s President’s Conference Committee [PCC] Streetcars that can be rented for your wedding.  These vintage streetcars will take you and your wedding party on a ride through old and new Toronto – perfect for pictures.  Unfortunately, you can’t pop champagne on them, according to the terms and conditions of these charters, and you can’t add any, “Just Married,” signs (or any signs of the sort) because these are still viewed as the City of Toronto’s property.  On the upside, the bride and groom are welcome to create their own route, so the street car would actually suffice as a mode of transportation from the church to the reception.  For more information, visit: TTC Charter Info
