Guðbjörn Grimsson claims to have set a world record by flying across a 1001 foot long river at 87km/h in his 4×4. The Off-road vehicle sped across the land and onto the water, hydroplaning the whole way across. Grimsson says it was the first time that speed had been measured on the water to create the World Record.

Formula Off-road motor sport is a form of off-road racing with 4×4’s that originated in Iceland as an effort to raise money for the Icelandic rescue teams. It soon gained in popularity as teams started modifying their vehicles in hopes of outdoing each other in off-roading competitions.
