After recording both its best-ever year and best-ever January in Canada, Nissan announced that its all-new 2015 Nissan Micra will start at just $9,998, making it the country’s lowest MSRP. Nissan also debuted the new Versa Note SR model and provided a glimpse into the brand’s future design potential with the all-new Nissan Sport Sedan Concept and Nissan Sentra NISMO Concept making their national debuts at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) in Toronto.

“The more we work to understand the unique needs of Canadian drivers, the more successful we are,” said Christian Meunier, President, Nissan Canada Inc. “Throughout our entire line-up, from our innovative commercial vehicles to our all-new Rogue right through to our new Versa Note – we are committed to delivering the right car at the right time. This spring, when Micra arrives starting at just $9,998, it will provide even more Canadians with a high-quality, affordable entry point into the Nissan brand, which we think will be a very exciting time for the market here.”

Combining Japanese quality with European styling and heritage, Micra promises to provide Canadians with more fun, more attention to detail and more value than they’ve ever expected in a small car. With great visibility, impressive agility and excellent turning radius, Micra is designed for Canadian drivers and will offer a small and fuel efficient, yet spacious and fun choice – at a shocking price.

Also making its Canadian debut was the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept. A design study with a particular emphasis on next-generation design and sporty style, the Sport Sedan Concept was created to embody the essence of a true sports sedan – that rare execution of 4-door sedan with the aura of a real sports car. It previews a future production vehicle intended for owners with a passion for cutting-edge design and driving dynamics.

“When you commit to breaking down the boundaries of innovation, you can accomplish truly amazing things, and that is exactly what the Nissan brand has once again done with the Sport Sedan Concept and Sentra NISMO Concept,” said Meunier.

Like the Sport Sedan Concept, the Sentra NISMO Concept also made its debut and is built on the solid foundation of the latest generation production Nissan Sentra, but injects increased performance and design tuner elements into the mix. Among the Sentra NISMO Concept’s many departures from a production 2014 Sentra are its race-inspired exterior with enhanced aerodynamic performance, NISMO-tuned suspension, steering and transmission and engaging motorsports-style cockpit.
