Why you don't leave keys in the car at the gas station

  • The beginning of morning rush hour, cars on the highway traveling to and from downtown

This video is a pretty simple example of why leaving your keys in the car while heading inside to pay for gas is a bad idea. A lovely yellow Porsche 911 is sitting by itself at the pump, when a BMW pulls in beside it. A passenger gets out of the Beemer, looks around, and then checks inside the 911 to see if the keys are in the ignition. He pokes his head back in the BMW and then hops in the Porsche and away he goes.

There are questions in the YouTube comments as to whether this video is real or set up. Either way, it is a perfect example of why your keys should always be in your pocket!
