Insider Report: Would you fall for this key-ing prank?

“Hey man, you left your key in the door.”
Simple, silly and harmless. What a great prank that makes people look. We’ve seen the guy from the YouTube channel RossCreations before in the Insider Report. Charles Ross has made a career of playing and filming pranks ranging from the silly to the annoying. He was even reportedly arrested in January for giving theatre patrons wedgies. One man didn’t see the humour and called police, reporting that Ross grabbed him “by the back of his pants and pulled them up hard.”  This prank is much less aggressive, and certainly less uncomfortable. And unlike Ross’s most recent prank, there were no angry targets in this one, just dumbfounded looks followed by smiles. Would you fall for this one? Plenty of people did!

Ron Fellows prepares to race at Sonoma
We talk a lot about Ron Fellows these days here on but usually in relation to his ownership of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and all of the neat stuff that is going on there. What some may now know is that Big Ron still gets behind the wheel on occasion as a road course specialist in the Nationwide Series. It has been several years since Fellows drove with the Sprint Cup series, but he will once again be a wheel man in that series this Sunday at Sonoma Raceway. In keeping with the branding package, Ron will be running a Canadian Tire sponsored Chevy that is sporting some wicked looking flames that were created by my friend Ivan Novotny of The Color of Victory. Check out some of the action as Ron tested the all new car earlier this week. Then, don’t forget to tune in on Sunday to cheer him on.

Payback Time
As marketers work to entertain viewers rather than just promote products, we occasionally have to pleasure to see ads that don’t look like ads at all. Ken Block’s Gymkhana series is a great example. Used stuff listings site Kijiji has just revealed one of the funniest videos I have seen in ages. The Payback Time K-Car Movie Trailer combines used Mopar marketing with some Tarantino inspired schlock to portray the tale of two racers, a scandal and revenge. This one will brighten your day.

Infiniti Canada Surprises Two Formula One Race Fans with GP Experience
Motorsport fans are a passionate bunch. When you combine that F1 passion with love for a daily driver, the result can be guys who stand tall and spread that love everywhere they go. Infiniti Canada decided to reward a couple of those avid fans with a trip to the Montreal GP earlier this month. They invited the guys to Markham Infiniti, thinking they were going to receive some swag but instead were the winners of an exclusive chance to join Infiniti at the Canadian Grand Prix. Once there, they not only watched the race but had the chance to meet Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. I’m guessing they also got some swag!

Trials bike rider Danny MacAskill explores his imagination
On occasion I have shared some bicycle videos here in the Insider Report, but I don’t think I have ever introduced our readers to Scottish trials rider Danny MacAskill. Known as “Danny MegaSkill”, the rider has put together a series of videos that showcase both his talent and creativity. His newest video, dubbed Imaginate, is an absolutely spectacular display. My BMX riding 14-year-old especially liked the big red ball tricks. I enjoyed the blooper reel that appears at the end.
