Simply put, this is the fastest Mustang either Ford or Carol Shelby has ever built. Engineered by the folks at Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT), the potent pony car is powered by a supercharged 5.4-litre V8 producing an amazing 475 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, as are 14-inch cross-drilled Brembo brakes up front and 13-inchers in the rear. Cosmetically, the muscled Mustang wears Le Mans-style white stripes, unique front and rear fascias, a special bulged hood to clear the supercharger, and of course, that cool coiled Cobra badges. Carol Shelby himself, creator of the original GT500, had a hand in the car’s design, particularly its driving dynamics.
