Filmmaker wins new BMW for this six-second video

BMW recently held a contest for filmmakers called “0 to Desir3 in 5.9 Seconds.” The automaker asked contestants to create an ad spot that was just 5.9 seconds long for the new 3 series. Why so short? 5.9 seconds is exactly the time it takes for the newest 3 to zoom from rest to 60 mph (96 km/h).

The winner out of more than 2,000 submissions was called “Test Drive Nostalgia” and was created by Earl Duque. Duque earned a brand new 3 series sedan for his troubles, having been chosen as the best of the six finalists. See the winning short below along with the other finalists.
