It’s not even on-shore in Canada yet, and already there’s rumour Land Rover’s new LR2 may spawn a performance model.
Reports out of the U.S. say the British automaker is considering shoehorning in the 4.4-litre narrow-angle Yamaha V8 its sister company Volvo uses in the S80 and XC90.
According to edmunds.com, Land Rover’s biggest hurtle is finding a reasonable price and volume for the truck to offset its development costs.
A 300-hp V8 in a compact SUV? That seems priceless enough already.
