BMW plans to present a thoroughly updated and upgraded range of models at the 80th Geneva Motor Show 2010. The display will feature new models in numerous segments, an even wider range of power units combining performance with enhanced efficiency, plus concepts for the powertrains of the future.

One of the highlights at the 2010 Geneva Show is the world debut of the new BMW 5 Series Sedan. At the same time, BMW will be showing the new BMW X5 as well as the new BMW 3 Series Coupe and the new BMW 3 Series Convertible, debuting for the first time in Geneva.

Innovations in drivetrain technology under BMW’s EfficientDynamics philosophy promise to offer an even higher standard of all-round efficiency in BMW’s current production models and future vehicles. New engines in the BMW 1 Series and the BMW 3 Series, in the BMW X models and the BMW Z4 were designed to ensure a further optimized balanced of driving pleasure and fuel economy.

Directly before their market launch, the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 are also being highlighted in Geneva, the combination of a combustion engine and an electric motor blending a unique driving experience with outstanding efficiency.

The 2010 Geneva Motor Show also provides the appropriate setting for the European debut of the BMW Concept ActiveE. Based on the BMW 1 Series Coupe, this concept car comes with all-electric drive and innovative electric storage technology, optimizing both the range the car is able to cover as well as its functional abilities.
