2013 Volkswagen CC is a four-door athlete on the highway

Pretty sure if VW can...They will build the CC, Golf and Touareg here. The Touareg is unlikely to happen, but CC and Golf might well happen. As the new MQB platform that they debuted comes online for the next Golf, the plant in TN and Mexico will probably be able to handle them. Realistically where they are built probably won't matter. Jetta's been built in Mexico since forever, even before the "down market" move....If they get the QC right(always suspect in a VW), this can lead to cheaper "Europe" spec VW built in N. America. I'd be willing to pay for the euro cars, if Audi and VW could be buggered to bring them over. Can I get a Passat or A4 or A6 wagon? With any of the power options available to our euro cousins? Nope. So will I pay less for a VW or Audi that isn't what I want? Nope. Your loss VW, I won't buy your cheapened-for-the-undiscerning-American crap.
Totally agree. Why would I want to pay for a lesser product? Although as the article states, VW sales have been better than ever. So it seems quality is not the #1 priority for most shoppers. VW probably has internal studies that show their cars don't last much longer than 5 years so why make them better? Just sell them a new one. Sorry VW, you lost my sale.
