Post a commentI'm just a little bit concerned with the long term reliability of these turbo engines. How will they hold up over 160K and ten years of service compared to a regular engine? I know that Ford has done all sorts of testing on the V6 EcoBoost engine but these very small 4 cylinders hauling heavy cars like the Edge, Explorer and Taurus would make me wait about four or five years before jumping on the bandwagon.
Please. 160k? That is peanuts. Small turbos will run 300+k in a heartbeat. Wake up sweetie. It is 2012 ...not 1972. Buy a Crapler if you like. Ford might crap out, too though. VW small engines rock forever. lol. you are funny
skip the ecoboost, and give me a proper 1.8 or 2 litre diesel that all the europeans can get. focus would be a major seller in canada, imo, if it came with a diesel engine.
After reading about these offerings, and all the great technical innovations, I have NO doubt that Ford is making the BEST North American automobiles !
