220 diesel? that model has not been built. It did have a 4 cyl. with 2,3Ldisplacement - was OK with 126 HP. The current V6 diesel in my estimation is a mistake. they should have stayed with the inline 5 cyl which you guys in NAmerica have in the dodge sprinter. Absolute solid engine built to go 500K. Would not buy an AMG or the V6 - too many cylinders.......
DR1974, The Canadian army drives G wagons(ordered over 800 with potential of buying another 500) and they have served our troops well in Afghanistan. To say that the G wagon isn't an SUV or capable of handling rough terrain is being dishonest.
@JT Death of the Defender ????? When ? Who said ? Just because it's not sold in North America does not mean it died... In places where they have REAL 4-WD,s (not North America), it sells just fine..
I wish they would bring the G220 here as well... I like the G-Wagen but do not need all the 'bling'. It'll never happen - just look at the 'death' of the Land Rover Defender.
