Urban Outlaw comes to life online
Back in the Spring, I showed you a movie trailer for a flick called Urban Outlaw, about a man obsessed with Porsche and how that obsession has taken on new life as a business. A business that brings new life to old Porsches. As a long time devotee of the Porsche mystique, I was immediately drawn to the content. The discovery that the film was created by a Toronto guy just made things that little bit cooler. If it is possible to be any cooler that Magnus Walker. Or his cars. Or his house for that matter.
Toronto film maker, Tamir Moscovici, produced and directed the film, which captures Walker’s passion and creativity. Moscovici took a unique route when choosing to bring the short film to market. First shown in public at a series of film festivals, the flick has been released to the public on a service called Reelhouse. The platform allows movie makers to post their creations online and receive donations from viewers. Rather than paying middle men and theatres and the like, the revenue stream goes directly to the folks who deserve it. Check out the half hour video below. If you love it as much as I know you will, press the “support” button and maybe even pass the link around to your Porsche fanatic friends.
Edo Competition Enzo ZXX hits the Autobahn
Remember that video we showed you here on Wheels.ca last Fall, the one that showed Calgary business owner Zahir Rana dunking his Ferrari into the Atlantic during Targa Newfoundland? Well, Rana’s prancing pony has been resurrected. Youtube user keno0311 has video of the 950 horsepower machine on the German Autobahn, sounding absolutely magnificent.
2nd Shift Drift
Not content to have Ken Block’s Fiesta garnering all the Youtube hits for the brand, Ford decided to let Mustang driving drift star, Vaughan Gittin Jr. have a bit of fun at their Flat Rock plant. Seeing as every Mustang built comes through the gates of Flat Rock, this seems like a fitting choice.
While this is a fine “first” effort, my fourteen year old informed me that this is nowhere near as cool as what Ken Block does. Personally, I give Gittin extra points for “rubbin” another ‘Stang with his bumper.
