Hannah Montana car blanket
What man in his right mind would be caught dead with a hot pink Hannah Montana blanket? Which is precisely the reason I'm wishing for such a gift. I figure, unlike the other car blankets that I've stashed in my truck – all of which have gone mysteriously missing – such a garishly girlie thing will not get pilfered by any of the men in my house. $19.97.

Wine glasses
When raising a glass of Christmas cheer this year I'd like to do so using wineglasses made from glass recycled from old car windshields. Two for $20.

Taxi chits
And since after imbibing it's best to leave the driving to someone else, a gift certificate for a driving service would be appreciated. Homemade from your own kids: priceless; any local taxi company: $10 and up.

Belt buckle
Car-themed belt buckles are a stylish way to hitch up your drawers so I'm thinking of slipping them into several Christmas stockings this year, including a $19.95 one that's designed to look like the gearshift of a car and a $23 Jeep grill buckle for my resident Jeep guy that clicks together just like a seat belt.

T-shirt
While giving clothes is always a bit iffy, a T-shirt from Slowshirts with a labelled diagram of an auto engine isn't likely to be regifted. $25.

Storage units
At my house, if Santa were to forgo the chimney route and instead enter through the garage, he'd quickly understand – while tripping over piles of shoes and getting a good whiff of all that fragrant hockey equipment – my wish for a total garage reorganization. At the very least, it will require several storage units, but the floor could also use a coat of paint, and lots of open shelving is a must. $299 and up.

RV
Oh, and once the garage is all straightened up, could we talk about parking a new travel trailer in there, ready for family camping? $20,000 or more.
Luxury car
... or perhaps a black Aston Martin DB9? $200,000, give or take a few options.
