VALENCIA, SPAIN—Formula One team Mercedes GP has revealed its 2010 race car, much to the delight of Michael Schumacher.

The former Brawn GP team rolled out its W01 car at the Cheste Circuit on Monday ahead of a three-day testing session.

Seven-time F1 champion Schumacher, 41, who this year makes his return to the circuit following three years in retirement, posed for photographs with the new car alongside fellow German racer Nico Rosberg while nodding his head in delight.

Aside from the new silver-and-green livery, the most notable change to the car that won last season’s constructors’ title was the nose section, which features its own take on a configuration begun by Red Bull last season.

Schumacher will drive for the first time since the 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix.
