NEW YORK, NY: Volvo’s 2018 XC60 mid-size SUV made its North American debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show.
When it goes on sale in Canada during the fourth quarter, it will have a starting price of $45,900 and also heralds the introduction of the 60 Series model lineup to this country.
With standard all-wheel-drive, the XC60 will offer a choice of three engines – a 250 hp T5 turbo, 316 hp T6 turbo and supercharged engine and the range topping 400 T8.
There will be three trim levels – Momentum, R-Design and Inscription.
Volvo said the XC60 will feature two new safety aids dubbed Steer Assist and Oncoming Lane Mitigation.
Steer Assist works with Volvo’s City Safety suite of technologies to held avoid head-on crashes while Oncoming Lane Mitigation combines Steer Assist and the Blind Spot Information System to aid in reducing collisions while changing lanes.
Also making it North American introduction in New York was the 2018 S90 flagship sedan with claimed segment leading rear legroom plus standard panoramic sunroof.

Besides the T6 engine offered on the S90 since its debut in 2016, there will be the T5 and T8 engines available.
All-wheel-drive is standard and the S90 will be in Canadian showrooms in the second half of the year.
