Usain Bolt gets gold Nissan GT-R
Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt just got more of what he already has: gold and speed.
Bolt, the world’s fastest man and winner of 11 Olympic gold medals, has been given a customized 2014 Nissan GT-R bathed in gold paint and real gold trim after he tried one out at Nissan’s Yokohama testing track and loved it.
An article in the Daily Mail says Nissan designed one of the high-performance super coupes to be auctioned off for charity (it fetched $187,000 US on eBay) and another specifically for Bolt.
Bolt requested that his car be fitted with a white interior, a Bose audio system and 10-spoke, hyper-titanium RAYS forged alloy wheels.
Among his many plum marketing appointments, Bolt is also Nissan’s honorary “Director of Excitement.” And with a car like this to wheel around in, he shouldn’t have too much trouble living up to that title.
