NEW YORK, NY: Jaguar took two 2017 World Car of the Year wards at the New York International Auto Show.
It was named 2017 World Car of the Year and also won the World Car Design of the Year title.
To win the World Car award, the Jaguar F-Pace beat out the Audi Q5 and Volkswagen Tiguan.
The international judges were 75 journalists from 24 countries.
The Jaguar XE sport sedan was a finalist last year in the World Car Awards.
Jaguar Director of Design said, “The F-Pace is our first ever SUV but it is clearly recognizable as a Jaguar and for it to win the 2017 World Car of the Year trophy vindicates our decision to bring our unique design principles and dynamic qualities to a new sector of the market.”
