Junk on wheels? ..... ha!! The big 3 are going to go out of business soon because they sell junk vehicles that are unreliable and the big 3 also lie about fuel mileage costs as well. I've been a professional driver for 40 or more years and used to drive GM vehicles, but learned that I was throwing my hard earned $$ away supporting them by driving their junk. Been a die hard Honda driver for over 20 years now and find they are the most reliable and best in collisions I've ever owned. Your post Steve is so inaccurate it's hilarious.

HAHA, I really trust a review from someone as educated as yourself. "I only buy them American made cars and trucks because they are the best" I'm sorry but the Sunfire, Impala, Cobalt, Neon, Caliber, Focus, Taurus, Caravan, Compass, Cirrus, Stratus, Avenger, Monte Carlo, Venture, Sierra, Intrepid, Concord, New Yorker, Cavalier etc... are not exactly reliable vehicles. The Camry, Corolla, Civic, Accord, CRV, Rav4, 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra and Tercel have a much better track record compared to the entire fleet of "Big 3" scrap metal I see on the road. Just because they fail a crash test that is brand new, doesn't mean they wont be on the road for as you put it "5000,000 kms" which is hard to believe.

I always knew that Toyota cars and trucks were nothing but junk on wheels. The same go's for Honda and the rest of them.I have been driving professionally for over 40 yrs and have found GM, Ford and Chrslyer to be the best built, best running cars and trucks. After owning and driving my 86 Chevy pick up truck for over 26 yrs and 5000,000 kms later, I had to sell her.The front body mounts were going on the old girl. But today a new owner is rebuilder the old 86 classic from the ground up.

While disappointing, kudos to Toyota for accepting the challenge and not going with some B.S. PR response. The Mercedes Benz spokesperson said something to the effect of "We do not agree with this test", whatever that means... lame!
