Normally the dash camera video footage I share here in the Insider Report is of the modern traffic variety. Today’s video comes from the hand cranked camera of a gentleman named William Harbeck.
The Seattle filmmaker stood on the front of a Vancouver streetcar and captured the hustle and bustle of life in 1907. If you think pedestrians are crazy now, watch for all of the people who seem oblivious that the trolley is bearing down on them.
Sadly, Harbeck’s next assignment was to document the maiden voyage of the Titanic and he was not one of the “lucky” survivors.
