You could call it the running of the bulls, Italian-style.
Lamborghini marks 50 years under the sign of the bull this year, and it is celebrating with a 1,200-kilometre Grand Tour of the Italian countryside.
Hundreds of sleekly beautiful Lambos, from historic GTs and Countachs to today’s Gallardo and Aventador, are arriving from all over the globe to participate in the journey, which begins in Milan on Wednesday and will culminate in Bologna on Saturday, May 11.
Founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in May 1963, Lamborghini now has a presence in 45 countries and operates through a network of more than 120 dealers. But the heart of Lamborghini’s production remains at its home in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the same place where the factory’s foundation was laid 50 years ago.
