Please be consistent!!!! In the article you say: “Is it OK to block a handicapped spot just because you will only be there for a few minutes?” However, in the poll, you ask if it’s “OK to park illegally if you’re gone for only a few minutes?” There’s a big difference, and I would answer differently to each question… (for the record, I think that anyone who blocks a handicapped spot should have his car impounded…)

Come on. It’s obvious the mother was in a rush to get her daughter somewhere and just left her Prius right there for a few seconds. There were no cars in the handicapped spots on either side so what is the big deal. Opportunistic journalism designed to sensationalize. Get a life, Gary Grant.

Please publish pictures of Car Dealerships behaving badly (hint: one on Steeles, just 4 blocks West of Yonge). Many dealerships block one lane of traffic during rush hours, to unload vehicles from those double decker monstrosities, creating dangerous conditions for most drivers & pedestrians.
Could they do the unloading on their premises? Yes Sir, but then why put your Customers to mild inconvenience when you can put the General Public at large in danger? (Answer: When there will be a really bad accident!).
(To the Traffic Policeman issuing tickets for minor infractions just west of Steeles & Yonge St., please note where the real enforcement opportunity is……).
