Insider Report: Aston Martin celebrates 100 years
Le Mans, 007 and Sir Stirling Moss all have one thing in common: Aston Martin. The iconic British brand has conquered the French classic endurance race. It carried legendary British racer Stirling Moss to some of his most memorable wins. Even more notable is the brand’s role in the James Bond films.
Aston Martin turns 100 years old this year and to celebrate they have released the following web video titled:
Aston Martin – 100 Years of Power, Beauty, Soul
Who says you have to go slow in the snow?
As teams begin practice for the 2013 Monte Carlo Rally, the videos are beginning to show up online. YouTube user Alex Sergeev caught Volkswagen factory driver Sebastian Ogier in action in the snow. The French driver is the German manufacturer’s first driver in the FIA World Rally Championship and is driving a wicked looking (and sounding) VW Polo WRC. Unlike North American events, look at the size of the crowd on hand, and this was just practice!
Google celebrates Zamboni today
As Google staff get ready to enjoy the return of the NHL, they are having a bit of fun with today’s home page. Today marks the 112th anniversary of the birth of Italian-American inventor Frank Zamboni. He created the world’s first ice resurfacing machine that moved under its own power, revolutionizing the game of hockey.
To celebrate, visit Google.ca (you know you would have anyway today) and click on the graphic you see above. Then you can finally get to drive a Zamboni yourself, erasing the marks left behind by skaters. Isn’t that just what every Canadian gearhead and hockey fan has ever wanted?

To start off, I thought I would share this on board video from last week’s Roar before the 24, just to give you a taste of the action. Ride along with the #50 Dinan / BMW – Riley Daytona Prototype at speed.
