Can you really unlock a car with a shoelace? We're going with 'Yes'
The good news: If you have locked yourself out of your car, it’s apparently very easy to break into it with nothing more than a shoelace.
The bad news: If you can do it, so can anybody else.
A YouTube user by the name of Petrik08 demonstrates the method, successfully (and by all appearances, easily) unlocking a locked car in less than 30 seconds. He uses a long shoelace, although other users have posted videos showing the same method but with a piece of string.
Of course this method only works on older-model cars that have the raised, finger-pull locks, but there are still a good number of those out there.
