Chrysler has pulled one of the more brilliant marketing moves of the season by tapping ‘Anchorman’ Ron Burgundy … a.k.a. Will Ferrell … as its Dodge Durango spokesman. In a hiliarious ad spot, Burgundy mangles basic automotive terminology, insults horses, extolls the virtues of such selling features as the glovebox (“comfortably fits two turkey sandwiches”) and just basically puts so much fun in the sell that you want to watch the ad over and over and over again. And maybe even buy a Durango. Oh, and coincidentally? Anchorman II is coming out on December 2. Brilliant.
