Motorcycle Supershow gears up for 38th anniversary

Love bikes? Ring in New Year with a roar at International Centre

Published December 4, 2013

Hang on to your helmets, motorbike lovers, because the Motorcycle Supershow roars into the International Centre on the first weekend of 2014.

The three-day event — billed as North America’s largest and presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance — will be spread out over seven halls of the venue with more than 500 exhibitors and 100 clubs, rides and rallies on display.

Visitors will be able to check out and buy just about every type of motorcycle, accessory and apparel from the major brands to aftermarket dealers.

New and pre-owned machines, custom bikes, trailers, performance equipment and two-wheel travel options are all part of the show.

A Century of Motorcycles display spotlights 50 classic bikes representing the 100-year heritage and evolution of the motorcycle.

Choppers and custom bikes take up all of Hall 5, featuring unique two-wheeled machines from across North America competing for a $50,000 jackpot and the top prize in the Canada Cup championships.

Hall 4, which is dedicated to racing and performance, highlights everything related to sport and off-road bikes and the people who ride or race them.

Touring and cruiser halls have a road rider marketplace where vendors offer a wide range of accessories from helmets and leathers to GPS systems and sidecars.

There will be live bands, fashion shows and meet-and-greet sessions with motorbiking celebrities and industry big wigs. The Supershow has something for every type of enthusiast who’s into motocross, off-road, racing, vintage, touring or custom machines — even scooters and ATVs.

The Supershow is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, January 3 and 4 and 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. on Sunday at the International Centre, 6900 Airport Rd., Mississauga. Parking is free.

Admission is $20 and advance tickets can be purchased online for $17 plus H.S.T. at MotorcycleSupershow.ca
