Sorry Mike, you are wrong. I gave and always do, plenty of warning time with my signals. If you are going by sound, you can't hear it over the road noise until the car slows down. You were not there. I'm glad you are not a traffic court judge. As for the windshield, it is not a big an issue as you make it to be. You are over reacting on it. As I mentioned before, it will be scrapped in a couple of months and there isn't anyone on this planet who would spend $500 to replace it for 2 or 3 months.

Well Ian, it seems (sounds) to me that YOU were the reason for the confusion.
I`m thinking (hearing) YOU confused the westbound car by turning on your left indicator too late...he was assuming YOU were gonna continue travelling west, which then would have allowed the southbound car to turn left after you & whatever cars you say were behind had passed thru.

And from one broken windshield guy to another...it`s not ok, it`s not just about being able to see, it`s more about the integrity of the windshield being greatly compromised.

I think the camera car should fix that cracked windscreen before they comment on other people's safe or unsafe driving habits.

That's pretty much anywhere in Ontario. Seen similar situations in Toronto. By far the worst are Oshawa drivers. Aggressive AND stupid.

Be very careful in cobourg Ontario. Based on my experiences driving there: many people do not know about right-of-way at 3-way and 4-way stops; many people do not know how to handle flashing yellow - flashing red lights at intersection when traffic lights fail (those facing the red expect those facing the yellow to stop as if it were an all way stop -I've been screamed at for not stopping at the flashing yellow by person facing the flashing red ); worst of all when all lights are out, people of Cobourg often drive right through and do not treat as a four way stop (almost got clobbered by old man in a Benz who accelerated through the intersection instead of stopping). Word to the wise...be very careful in Cobourg many do not know traffic laws.

Yes, this car has a cracked windshield. It is not in the driver's direct line of sight and is not unsafe. It is on the passenger side. This is my old winter beater and will be retired in the next few months. Spending $500 to fix it is not worth it at this point.

You should never cut someone off by change lanes in front of them in order to let someone else on the highway. The person merging has some responsibility to match speed and merge safely.

By cutting off the passing lane, you are being extremely unsafe and probably causing a traffic jam.

Reading the article makes it sound like this situation went on for some time. Looking at the video, it was an instant. Difficult to see how traffic could be "backing up behind the camera car" when the camera car never appears to actually come to a full stop.

Yes, take the right of way when it's yours. But the way this article is written blows the situation way out of scale.

No one wants to comment on the huge crack in the windshield of the camera car? Or how unsafe that is?
