Eye Candy:Published June 28, 2013
This week’s toothsome eye candy comes to us courtesy of John Scime of Hamilton, who is justifiably proud of is beautifully restored 1969 Plymouth Road Runner.
The resto project was an in- and outside job, and certainly not for the faint of heart.
Scime bought the car from a friend as a body shell and “several bushel baskets” of parts back in 2006, and then the rebuilding began.
“It’s an original 383 4 speed car. But since the engine was long gone, I decided it needed a Hemi engine. It’s pretty much based on the original 426, only this one has a longer stroke crank which results in a 472 cubic inch displacement.”
Which pretty much guarantees this Road Runner lives up to its name.
