It is not only common sense but common coureousy to get over or at least slow down if you see a person or vehicle on the side of the road. The guy even tried to warn you that there was a stopped vehicle but you chose to ignore the warning, plus you were probably driving way to fast. It was the drivers fault for hitting the vehicle, nobody else’s.

blame the cop cause you cant drive worth crap. since no one rear ended you i guess everyone else was able to stop fine. maybe pay attention to the road instead of the brown guy trying to sell fake gold jewelry to people

Everyone’s comments are correct. It seems that the driver had what is called “Target Fixation”, instead of slowing down, hitting the hazards button and quickly looking around for other drivers, they froze and hit the taxi. Please go back to a drivers course and select one that provides defensive driving. Please stop driving till then!

You took a blind curve at “high speed”? What if traffic was stopped and you caused a pile-up? Why would you take any curve at high speed without being able to see a safe distance ahead? You’d count yourself lucky they don’t permenently revoke your drivers permit.

You got off easy. Next time you see a person standing on the side of the road slow down and put your hazards on to alert drivers behind you. On the bright side at least you didn’t kill anyone when you slammed into the taxi or cause a major accident and kill or hurt someone else.

You were driving too fast and not paying attention to the situation on the road. Let’s be honest here,, you were so busy watching the guy on the highway and not the road in front of you. had you paid attention to what was important,, like the road you would have stopped in time. You are a typical “looky lou” and you whacked a car. You have no case.

One of the best rules in driving (and which may be the law as well), is to always drive at a speed at which you can come to an emergency stop within the distance you can see to be clear. You obviously drove at a speed in excess of this. This is careless driving at best.

You’ve got no case whatsoever. If traffic had stopped for another reason other than a stalled taxi, you would have barreled into them as well, which is indefensible.
