The Daytona 500 got the green flag Sunday, signaling the start of the NASCAR racing season. Formula One, INDYCAR and the American Le Mans Series will start racing in March, which is just around the corner (although the F1 season now won't start till Australia late in the month).

This year, wheels.ca is presenting the most comprehensive Auto Racing Special Section in our history. We have in-depth stories examining what to expect in NASCAR, F1, INDYCAR and Sports Cars – all written by expert journalists with international reputations.

As well, we have a roundup of Southern Ontario and national Canadian racing this season, from the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series to the Castrol Canadian Touring Cars to drag racing.

And, where applicable, TV guides are provided that can be printed-and-saved for a handy reference.

We hope you enjoy this preview. We plan to update it periodically throughout the season to keep it as relevant as possible.
