Every winter, I get letters from readers asking what to do with their off-season tires.

It inspired me to create this list to help those who don't have storage room available.

In previous Tire Talk columns, I asked storage companies and tire shops to send me their information and fee structures. I then compiled the list below.

These are only the businesses that responded to my query. I have not tested their services. I cannot comment on the quality of their work.

I do not recommend any one – this is simply a starting point for you.

Some shops merely store the wheel/tire sets or just the tires themselves for you, and may even go and pick them up.

Other shops will provide full service: removal, unmounting, switchover and installation.

For the purposes of this list, a changeover means the shop takes the four rim/tire pairings off the vehicle and installs the seasonal rim/tire set.

The price is much higher when the shop has to remove, say, the summer tires from the wheels and mount the winter season ones on the same rims.
