Believe it or not, this represents the eighth model year for Honda's hard-core roadster. The 2.2-litre "four" is a dual-personality engine -- smooth and brisk like a Civic at "normal" engine speeds and a race engine when the revs get into the meat of the power band. The 6-speed manual gearbox has possibly the finest shift action in the history of the automobile, and this is matched by handling agility that makes other sports cars feel like couch potatoes.
