Spring's here — get ready to ride!

The temperature is warming and the snow is melting, and motorcycles are already starting to come out on the GTA roads.

In this section today, on pages W30 and W32, our two-wheeled specialists Steve Bond, Larry Tate and Allan Johnson provide an introduction to those who want to explore motorcycling.

It's not a passion to be taken lightly. It can be expensive if you don't know what to look for, and it can be dangerous if you go in with an irresponsible attitude.

But a little preparation and planning, and the right mindset, can turn basic transport into satisfying, fuel-efficient pleasure and a rewarding lifestyle.

We're starting this week with advice for novice riders and for those still just curious about bikes. In future weeks we'll offer advice for more seasoned riders.

And of course, we'll also review new motorcycles, head out on road trips, challenge the issues you care about, and hang out with motorcyclists to give you the best two-wheeled coverage in Toronto.
